1. VP & Head of Debt, India

wishes to bolster its debt practice by recruiting a specialist, to originate and execute debt transactions in the SME segment. These will be by way of arranging term debt, ECBs, working capital including trade finance, factoring etc. for local and cross-border financing.


The ideal candidate will have:

Direct and relevant experience of at least 5 years in (in Mumbai) originating, structuring and placement of corporate and SME debt in India. Origination skills are the most critical.

Experience in the SME sector.

Developed substantial contacts at senior levels in the SME sector, preferable with owners/promoters.

Developed relevant contacts (through deals done) with banks and Financial Institutions in India.

Has the ability to independently originate and negotiate transactions.

Has closed several transactions personally in the past.

Has successfully managed a team of debt specialists.

Has a track record of exceeding targets and generating substantial revenues.

Enjoys and flourishes in an entrepreneurial environment i.e., is a self-starter and hungry for business.

In sum, the candidate will be an SME debt expert with well-rounded experience.


To head the debt practice at Salvus. The debt practice includes debt origination, structuring and placement/distribution.

To build the team and grow the business which is currently at a nascent stage.

To support the debt practice of Salvus' sister company Salvus Strategic Advisors JLT, Dubai, UAE. Experience in Middle East markets will be an added advantage.


The job will be Mumbai based and have a direct reporting line to an Executive Director. As this job will involve active interaction with senior Salvusstaff in India and Dubai, all Executive Directors and the Managing Director will have inputs into performance appraisal and bonus decisions.

2. Administration cum Office Manager, India

Local and Administrative direct reporting to a Director of the company.

Job Description

Office Secretarial work including preparing reports, filing hard copy correspondence.

Managing appointments, making hotel and travel arrangements for seniors and dealing with all vendors, etc.

Maintaining minutes of meetings in a prescribed format to follow up on steps to be taken as a follow up on such action points.

Maintaining of the office, management of office supplies, fixed asset registers, etc.

Basic accounting and record keeping.

Maintenance of Petty Cash, making payments, follow up with clients for reimbursements, etc.

Help make Power Point presentations, client presentations, etc.

Preferred Education Background

Graduate from an English medium secretarial institution.

(Mandatory) Training in MS Office, Secretarial Services.
(Preferable) Knowledge of Tally Accounting package, knowledge of financial markets.

Work Experience

Preferred but not essential.

The candidate, if experienced, would be preferred if he/she has had recent first hand experience in a mid size firm fulfilling some of the functions and should be willing to learn and take responsibility for learning other functions.

Willing to take initiatives, make suggestions etc.

The ability to work independently, without being a loner.
